Remote Education

Individual Children

Oak National for English and all subjects apart from Maths. Oak National is providing videos to support learning and the teaching element that we have to have. English will need to be linked as closely (use objectives) to teaching and learning in class. White Rose is to be used for Maths and again this needs to be linked as closely to class teaching as possible. TTRS and AR reader to be used as well. A 2 weekly plan of work needs to be devised ready to send out to the children as soon as we know they are self-isolating. This can be updated every 2 weeks. These plans need to be on the system so they can be sent out and updated regularly.

Regular feedback is expected from the classteacher to the child at home and daily contact should be made.

Contact will be through class Dojo. If any child is unable to access online school will provide hard copies.

If the teacher is unwell then the 2 week plan can be given to the children but regular feedback and contact with the class teacher will not happen.

Teacher

The teacher (if well) will link into the classroom via Zoom. The teacher will need a Zoom account. The class TA will be in the classroom all day to assist and support and the teacher will teach from home. Live marking will need to be used as much as possible and time given to TAs to give feedback will also be given. Classes will need to be flexible to allow TAs to support the classroom without the teacher. The teacher will be able to contact parents if needed through Dojo.

If the teacher is unwell then cover will be arranged at school either internally or a supply.
